Container stevedoring monitoring report 6 1. We are expecting all other terminals in Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane to follow suit in the near future. Following the increase and Introduction of Infrastructure fees by DP World in April this year, we have now been advised by Patrick Terminals of increased infrastructure surcharges in both Melbourne and Brisbane Terminals. “We’d urge Patrick Terminals, and also Hutchison Ports Australia and Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT), and most recently Australian Amalgamated Terminals (AAT) in the Port of Brisbane that introduced a new Infrastructure Charge of $38,70 per full container in October 2018, not to act unilaterally in this way, but to collaborate with the promised review(s).”

Berth A ship’s allotted space in a stevedore’s container terminal. Please note that Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has announced that they will be introducing an infrastructure charge of AUD 53.00 to be applied from 26th March 2018. Both DP World and Patricks have also followed suit and, in turn, increased their Terminal Fees. Both will apply as of 10th July 2017. Effective January 1, 2020, an infrastructure surcharge of A$121.80 – exclusive of the 10% sales tax – will apply to all export and import containers handled by VICT at its Webb Dock terminal at the Port of Melbourne.

Further to this we have also be informed that Infrastructure surcharges will be in introduced in Fremantle and Sydney terminals.

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has imposed a truly mammoth-sized infrastructure charge on trucks entering its terminal.

The infrastructure surcharge will be applied to all import and export containers.

VICT in Melbourne have announced an increase to their Terminal Access fees (Wharf Infrastructure Fee), setting a new (and higher) standard for the industry to follow.
