Here is a quick 34.7 off-axis test with the Escort Redline EX, Escort Max Ci 360, Uniden R3 and the Radenso Pro M-Edition.

Where it slips into the R3, it’s a little loose but once on the visor, the visor pushes against it and holds it in place.

The first three are self explanatory. Uniden R1 is a more economic version of R3, and while it doesn’t have the GPS capability that the R3 has, it delivers excellent detection performance, especially in the Ka range. Run “Uniden R Series SW Download Tool V1.28.msi”. Hardwired with an Escort wiring kit I had laying around and works perfectly. You’ll have the option to mute the alerts for a peaceful drive ahead. Also, there’s a built-in GPS in this model, unlike its contemporary DFR6 , so it’s insanely accurate, no matter where you’re at.

The DARK mode is nice for stealth driving. The Uniden DFR7 though however does have laser detection feature, along with detecting the newest models of police equipment for catching speedy drivers.

I wanted to do a bit more K-band testing mainly to see how much City mode affects detection distances. Laser jammers are NOT cheap. Find low everyday prices and buy online for delivery or in-store pick-up. But also to test the R3 against the Max360, which is known to be pretty sensitive on K-band. This is another course I have used in the past. The next test was a K-band speed sign in Richardson, TX.
