Basically when he became king of Israel after the death of his father, Solomon, the rest of the tribes of Israel refused to accept his rule and broke away to form their own kingdom. In the Bible, Rehoboam is the son of Solomon, who is the son of David, who was a favorite of Saul. While Rehoboam is quite literally the successor of Incite's previous system Solomon, the story of Jeroboam could signal that a great rebellion is getting ready to take place in the real world. Something I noticed between episode 7 and 8 was that the pattern on Solomon compared to the pattern on Rehoboam could be indicative of their nature and programming. My thought is that the reason for this story is the future war. Why? It Could Signal the End of Dolores and the Hosts.
