I am currently a Special Forces (Green Beret) Medic, and Dive Medical Technician. CMTs assigned to UKSF Medical Support Unit (MSU), or Medical Troop, as it sometimes referred to, are not classed as Special Forces and should not be confused with badged UKSF operators who have trained as patrol medics. The JSOMTC conducts the intensive medical portion of Special Forces Medical Sergeant training.

Soldiers who are retraining into Special Forces, who fail any of the above training courses, revert to their primary MOS (job). Note: The Special Forces training pipeline is inarguably the toughest training program in the Army, and has a very high wash-out rate. I will be receiving the HPSP scholarship from the Army.
I'm rocking a sweet 2.9 … Prior to then, doctors coming out of medical. Many of the highly capable SEAL , USMC RECON (Navy Corpsmen) will attend the 2 nd half of the 18D course later in their careers.

At some point I'll come home from Afghanistan, and would like to transition from the military (as in get out, I hate the haircuts) into med school. Despite rigorous and comprehensive medical training, when special forces medics leave the service, their training only qualifies them to work as emergency medical technicians.

Special Forces medics will attend for another 5 months and receive training in medical problems and diagnosing illness.
