We admit patients who have suffered traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries except those on ventilators, those who have previously received rehabilitation services with the qualifying diagnosis of brain injury but develop new functional impairments, and those emerging from a coma which are evaluated on an individual basis. This happens to about 1.7 million Americans each year. We provide residents up to six hours of individual and group therapy, six days a week, to help them build function and independence. 53,000 deaths, 235,000 trips to the hospital, and 1.1 million trips to the ER each year are because of TBI.
